Our Summit - What Rains Down From Heaven

The Midheaven lies at The Top of The Sky, opposite Imum Coeli, symbolizing how we'll contribute and be known to The World. It's a sheltering canopy, crowned in flowers, rife with a bounty of the sweetest fruit. The Midheaven is the crest of a wave and a brief brush with something perhaps resembling perfection. Our ideals appear made manifest for a time, but even thousand-year redwoods rot and all that glitters is not gold.
Chinese Zen Master Qingyuan Weixin famously wrote "First there is a mountain, then there is no mountain, then there is." A time-honored quotation wisely alluding to our ever-evolving ideals and broadening perspective in pursuit of the ultimate! "Never meet your heroes," presumably attributed to another Zen Master, is also a worthy mention. Indeed, hero worship can be observed at The Midheaven. When their heroic image is tarnished, so too are the once-beautiful ideals they represented. Malcolm X, whose Moon laid opposite his Midheaven, famously rebelled against (and was ultimately assassinated by agents of) his one-time Spiritual Leader and Father Figure, Elijah Muhammad.
